Some people might use other labels such as genderqueer, bigender, multigender, or polygender.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018\u2019 How can we make sure people who are genderqueer feel comfortable to use our spaces?\u2019\u2019&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Intersex \/ Differences in Sex Development&nbsp;<\/h4>\n<p>A person who is born with both characteristics of the male and female sex, this can include genitalia, hormones, chromosomes, and reproductive organs.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018\u2019How can we make sure people who are intersex feel comfortable to use our spaces?\u2019\u2019&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Man<\/h4>\n<p>People who identify themselves to be a man could be transgender man or cisgender man.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018\u2019I am a man\u2019&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"\">Transgender woman \/ Trans Woman \/ Transgender Girl \/ Trans Girl<\/h4>\n<p>A person who is transgender female was born as a male and has transitioned to be\/identifies as female.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018\u2019How can we make sure trans women feel comfortable to use our spaces?\u2019\u2019&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Transgender man \/ Trans man \/ Transgender Boy \/ Trans Boy<\/h4>\n<p>A person who is transgender male was born as a female and has transitioned to be\/identifies as male.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018\u2019How can we make sure trans men feel comfortable to use our spaces?\u2019\u2019&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Transgender&nbsp;<\/h4>\n<p>A person who has transitioned their gender from their identity at birth to a different gender.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018\u2019people who are transgender should be supported to access the facilities that they identify with\u2019\u2019&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>She \/ Her \/ Hers<\/h4>\n<p>Typically associated with people who identify as female.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018\u2019She went sailing yesterday\u2019\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018\u2019Her boat is green\u2019\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018\u2019That boat is hers\u2019\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>She \/ They<\/h4>\n<p>These pronouns are used by people for a wide variety of reasons. They could experience other forms of attraction, such as romantic, sensual, or aesthetic.<\/p>\n<h4>Bisexual \/ Biromantic<\/h4>\n<p>A person who is romantically or sexually attracted to more than one gender. This does not have to be cisgender male and cisgender female attraction.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Heterosexual<\/h4>\n<p>A person who is romantically or sexually attracted to somebody of the opposite sex or gender.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Homosexual \/ Homoromantic<\/h4>\n<p>A person who is attracted romantically or sexually to somebody who is the same sex or gender as them.<\/p>\n<h4>LGBTQIA+<\/h4>\n<p>Stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer or Questioning, Intersex, Asexual or Aromantic, plus more.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Pansexual \/ Panromantic<\/h4>\n<p>A person who is attracted to somebody else based on their spiritual, emotional and romantic connection with another person regardless of another person\u2019s sex or gender.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Polyamorous<\/h4>\n<p>A person who is in a romantic or sexual relationship with more than one person, with consent from all who are involved in the relationship.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Queer<\/h4>\n<p>The term Queer should not be used unless the person in question has already self-described themselves using the term.<\/p>\n<p>Queer to describe their individual sexual orientation or gender identity \u2013 this is because it has previously been used as a derogatory and discriminative term and has since been reclaimed by the LGBTQIA+ community.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A term that is sometimes used by people who feel that their gender identity or sexual orientation does not fit neatly into any other identity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Any person who describes themselves as queer may have different definitions of their gender identity or sexual orientation.<\/p>\n<h4>Questioning<\/h4>\n<p>A person who is currently unsure of their sexuality or gender identity and are currently exploring this.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"\">Romantic attraction<\/h4>\n<p>Having a deep, emotional attraction or bond with another person<\/p>\n<h4>Sexual attraction<\/h4>\n<p>The feeling of being attracted to somebody physically, being attracted to a person because of the way that they look.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"boldgrid-section\">\n<div class=\"container\">\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-lg-12 col-md-12 col-xs-12 col-sm-12\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LGBTQIA+ :&nbsp; Inclusive Terms Extracted from: Glossary (rya.org.uk) For those wishing to support and embrace the LGBTQIA community, here is our guidance for using inclusive language correctly and respectfully.
