Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

This is the most popular first aid qualification. The Emergency First Aid at Work qualification (EFAW) is the choice of many employers to ensure they are meeting the requirements of the Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981

The QNUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is ideal for those employers that need to meet the minimum requirement of first aid regulations; typically those working in shops, offices and other low risk environments.

First Aid at Work (FAW)

This qualification is for those undertaking the role of a first aider in the workplace. The QNUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) has been developed in conjunction with other AOs and supports employers to meet their requirements under the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981. (NI 1982)

This qualification is typically delivered over 3 days. It is for those working in higher risk  workplaces, or lower risk workplaces with larger numbers of staff and visitors.

Emergency First Aid at Work+F (EFAW+F)

The Emergency First aid at work +F qualification is aimed at those undertaking the role of an emergency First Aider on Forestry Commission landwhere a “+F” is required. The Qualification naturally meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981 (1982 NI)

This qualification is typically delivered over 1 day. It is for those working on Forestry Commission land who require an Emergency First Aid a Work
qualification with an added forestry context.

The qualification includes practical elements undertaken in an outdoors environment.

Candidates need to be capable of performing first aid skills in an outdoor environment.

First Aid at Work +F (FAW+F)

Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA)

 

Paediatric First Aid (PFA)

The Paediatric First aid – PFA –  qualification is aimed at those working in an early years setting who require a paediatric first aid qualification to meet the early years foundation stage requirements.

The qualification is partlcu larly useful where only one first aider may be available. For example:

  • Childminders
  • School staff on school trips 
  • Nurseries

Activity First Aid– SYFA Approved

The Activity First Aid qualification is aimed at those needing to provide first aid in sporting activities. The two day delivery meets the requirements of several sports governing bodies. including the Scottish Youth Football Association. 

The qualification builds on the Emergency first aid at work qualification, to include core common injuries found in sorting activities.

The qualification also meets the requirements for the emergency first aid at work qualification.

Emergency Outdoor First Aid (EOFA)

 

Outdoor First Aid (OFA)

The 16 Hr Outdoor First Aid qualification is for those undertaking the role of a first aider in an outdoors environment. Attendees typically include those that require an outdoor first aid qualification to meet NGB requirements. NGBS include BCU, BASI, MLTB etc

Forest School First Aid

This regulated qualification is currently unique to Qualifications Network. It is aimed at forest school leaders who may currently need to undertake up to 3 first aid qualifications to meet requirements. This qualification ensures they can meet those same requirements simply by completing one qualification therefore on successful completion of this qualification learners may opt to also be certificated for the following:

Basic Life Support – Adult & Children (BLS)

This qualification is intended for those looking to undertake a qualification in basic life support. This may be for personal development, however is more likely for those that are required to undertake annual basic life support training, for example those working in a GP or Dentist surgery.

Administering of Oxygen 

Administering Medical Gases – 02 & Entonox

 The QNUK Level 3 Award in Administration of Emergency Medical Gases (RQF) is the ideal qualification for those that are responsible for the administering of oxygen and Entonox® /Nitonox This is typically those working in a Pre-hospital setting.

This qualification includes the use of a AED and is aligned to the current UK resuscitation council guidelines.

 

Other related Courses such as Fire Safety , Moving and Handling etc.
